About me.
I fell in love with science and mathematics as a kid, and I try to bring that same curiosity and enthusiasm to the students I work with. I earned my degree in chemistry from the University of Oregon, where I first began tutoring students in general and organic chemistry. I’ve continued tutoring in chemistry and mathematics ever since, alongside eight years teaching middle and high school science in NYC independent schools.
My years in the classroom have shaped a student-centered approach to tutoring. I focus on figuring out how each student thinks, identifying where they’re getting stuck, and finding a way to make difficult concepts click. My goal isn’t simply to get through the next assignment or test, but to help students become more confident and independent learners.

Bachelor of Science in Chemistry - June 2012
While pursuing my chemistry degree I worked as an undergraduate chemistry tutor and conducted materials chemistry research in Dr. David Tyler's laboratory, studying the nucleation and growth of titania nanoparticles. That combination of teaching and laboratory research gave me both a strong foundation in chemistry and my first experience helping students work through difficult material.
